We respect user privacy and aim to maintain clear, transparent practices regarding what information is collected, how it is processed for AI video editing, and how you can exercise your data rights.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your interaction with Zera Studio, we collect data in the following categories:

• Account Credentials: Email address, authentication tokens, user ID, and account profile details when you sign up or log in to the mobile application.
• User Content & Media: Video clips, audio tracks, images, and text prompts selected or uploaded by you within the app solely to enable AI video editing and timeline creation.
• Device & Operational Metrics: Technical device identifiers (such as device model, OS version, app version, and language) and diagnostic logs (such as error reports and editing performance metrics) to maintain app stability.
• Website Submissions: If you voluntarily submit feedback via the website feedback form, we process your submitted name, email address (optional), and feedback comments (hosted via Netlify Forms).

3. How We Use Your Data

We process collected data exclusively for the following operational purposes:

• Video Editing & AI Assembly: To analyze uploaded footage, detect scenes/cuts, perform automated editing transitions, and generate final video renders.
• Account & Service Authentication: To maintain secure user sessions, manage beta access, and sync project states to your account.
• Application Maintenance: To identify technical bugs, resolve crash reports, and optimize rendering speed.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Infrastructure

Zera Studio utilizes cloud infrastructure and machine learning processing services to deliver AI video editing capabilities:

• Data Transmission: All data exchanged between the app, web client, and processing services is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Third-Party Processing: Data and media processing tasks are handled using cloud service providers bound by contractual confidentiality and privacy obligations. Website form submissions are processed securely via Netlify Forms.
• No Data Monetization: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or private video media to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

5. Data Retention & Storage

Media assets and user content uploaded for AI video rendering are processed for the purpose of generating your requested video edits. Temporary buffer files created during rendering sessions are discarded upon completion of processing. Account data and project metadata are retained while your account remains active.

Upon account deletion, your account record and associated user data are removed from our active database in accordance with our Account Deletion Policy.

6. Data Security

We employ standard administrative and technical safeguards—including encrypted transport layers (HTTPS/TLS) and restricted administrative access—to protect user information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

7. Your Choices & Account Deletion

You have the right to inspect, update, or request deletion of your account and personal data:

• In-App Deletion: You can initiate account deletion directly within the mobile application settings.
• Web Request: You can request manual account deletion via email or by following the instructions on our Account Deletion Page.

8. Children's Privacy

Zera Studio is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please notify us at hello@zera-ai.com.
